White Nothing is the moniker of Max Lawton, the writer and translator based in New York. Combining caustic outsider techno influences with bizarre and dynamic contact mic abuse, White Nothing seeks to plow the field in which the body grows. Rhine Maidens In Cut Glass marks the debut of this project, with 6 tracks of warped percussion, overdriven textures and wailing feedback, aligning themselves in a near fatal swan dive into the otherwise undisturbed sea. Synths swell and peak before relenting into unsettling pools of noise, with the ever present voice of a terrified narrator playing the harbinger behind them. Abrasive but refined, primitive yet clear, never once relegating into cliche, this release is the salt in the wound of dead end erotica.
